Sage Barn Farms

Holistically Organic Climate Controlled Agriculture Facilities
(Vertical farming / Commercial greenhouse / Regenerative agriculture)

Vertical farming facility with fresh green crops

Using the energy created and water produced on-site along with other ingredients needed for optimized growth we will combine a commercial grade vertical farm and a commercial grade greenhouse as one facility. With the current and ever advancing growing technologies, it is now possible to grow a very wide variety of crops that were impossible to grow in a controlled environment before.

These facilities are capable of growing crops with year-round yields not seasonal yields and there are no pesticides, herbicides or anything nonorganic involved in the growing process.

Crops We Grow

Variety of crops grown at Sage Barn Farms

Just a few examples of some of the crops we can produce:

  • Leafy greens
  • Tomatoes
  • Lettuce
  • Berries (Strawberries)
  • Kale
  • Mushrooms (Button, Shiitake, Oyster)
  • Basil
  • Cucumbers
  • Flowers
  • Corn
  • Okra
  • Brussels sprouts
  • Sunflowers
  • Medicinal herbs and plants
  • Sprouted Barley Fodder

Special Note: Sprouted Barley Fodder is now inexpensive to produce and is a very healthy alternative for livestock. No gassy livestock which cuts back drastically on their methane emissions!!!

Regenerative Agriculture

We're not just staying inside. We will also practice Regenerative Agriculture. This is a process of allowing farmland to repair itself for true organic use which revolves around restoring soil health and ecosystem balance using natural methods and eliminating synthetic inputs.

Regenerative agriculture practices

Local Farmer Partnerships

Local farmer partnerships

We would also partner with local farmers on their existing land to create a healthy thriving agriculture ecosystem as well. These are the different areas we will partner with them on so they can produce healthier foods for consumption to the surrounding community which will help their farms be more profitable.

Crop Rotation

Growing different plants each season can help control nutrient depletion and promote biodiversity in the soil.

Promote Biodiversity

Biodiversity helps create healthy soils, pollinators, and pest control. More diverse plants can better adapt to environmental changes.

Soil Health

Healthy soil is essential for a sustainable agricultural system. It can also help create a more efficient system for using nutrients and water.

Cover Crops

Cover crops can help with soil health and water conservation. They can capture nitrogen, increase soil organic matter, recycle nutrients, and suppress weeds. Cover crops can also save money on pesticides and insecticides and reduce the need for nitrogen for the next crop.

Pollinators

Pollinators are vital for plant reproduction and genetic diversity.

Water Conservation

Water conservation is essential for the success of agriculture and for mitigating water scarcity. We will assist them with a better understanding about best practices in water conservation.
